Jaeger-LeCoultre will produce the Master Memovox International in 18-karat pink gold as well as stainless steel, both variations to be made in limited editions of fewer than one thousand pieces. Cases are 40mm in diameter and reflect the timelessly elegant design which characterizes JLC’s entire family of Master Control timepieces. Protected by a curved sapphire crystal, the dial presents a facade of clarity and purpose, as well as the immediately recognizable styling character of the 1950s through faceted triangular hour markers and polished dauphine hands. Discreet luminous applications at the hour markers and hands make the time legible even in low or nonexistent lighting. Adjacent to the central rotating disk for principal cities of the world is a window where the framed date indication stands out clearly.

A solid caseback engraved with the Master Control signature–a testimony to the demanding Jaeger-LeCoultre 1000-hour testing procedure–protects the movement and contributes to a water resistance rating of 50 meters. Beneath it is the in-house 956 Caliber, a pedigreed automatic movement that boasts 268 parts, a 45-hour power reserve, and such technical superlatives as a freely sprung balance and a central winding rotor that operates on lubricant-independent ceramic ball bearings. Aesthetic finery to be found includes circular graining on the mainplate, bridges with Cotes de Geneve decoration, and a similarly adorned rotor that showcases a 21K mass on its edge for maximized winding efficiency. Energy transmission from the spring barrel to the going train is also improved, thanks to gear wheels with a newly designed tooth profile.

250 examples of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Memovox International timepiece will be produced in pink gold, with another series of 750 being delivered in stainless steel.
